"Using myself as inspiration, the piece for this auction encapsulates the contemplation I faced when completing my university work over the winter lockdown. I wanted to capture the process of thought and display varied stages of frustration, completing university work within a lockdown. By using a rough, abstract style, the technique used reflects the distraction and muddled thoughts of the confusing time. The four quatres the work is split into also mimics a photo booth, whilst creating a modern twist, using it in a coronavirus context. Using the bright colours to contrast the gloomy setting".
