Release’ explores emotion through the use of media, colour and movement. The idea of this piece was to gain a sense of calmness within herself, allowing her to feel free and un-restricted, letting the ink and paint flow naturally through her arm and body movement, mimicking the calmness she feels when she is near the sea. The uncovering of the various layers and the merging colours also represent the release of the many built up emotions she felt whilst creating this piece.
 
This concept of finding calmness and inner peace is incredibly relevant to many people today, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, as we are living in times of tremendous amounts of stress, pressure and uncertainty. Therefore, through this artwork she intend to encourage and remind people to ‘Let Go’ and feel free by doing something they enjoy, that allows them to find their inner peace.
